Bio
David Alejandro Mesquita (b. 1999, East Hollywood, CA) is a multi-disciplinary visual artist based out of the San Fernando Valley. Mesquita has received his Bachelor of Arts (2024) and Master of Arts (2025) from California State University, Northridge. He is currently pursuing an MFA at the University of Delaware (2028).
Mesquita’s work has been exhibited in many galleries throughout Southern California, such as The Hive Gallery’s 21st Anniversary Show (2026), Gallery Azuls Starting Small (2026), Piso Gallery’s Couch Surfing (2025) and The Wolford House’s Cupped (2025).
Mesquita’s work is inspired by religious mythology, classical art history, video game concept art and surreal humor. His work explores emotional and physical relationships and how they can help us overcome currently troubling times. Stories and myths entertain and connect cultures to present and future audiences through shared experiences and fantastical imagery, and creating his own method allows him to make his own contribution.
